     Ernesto Guevara de la Serna
 by Vadarli Myrto

Many are the people I look up to. One of them is Ernesto Geuvara de la Serna commonly known as Che Guevara. Guevara was an Argentine marxist revolutionary doctor, author, intellectual, guerrilla leader, diplomat and military theorist.
He was born in 1928 in Rozario of Argentina. His family was one of the oligarchic families of Argentina. However his parents didn't avoid associating with people of lower social classes.
When he was 2 years old it was noted that Che was suffering from asthma and that' s why he got mostly educated by studying at home. From an early age he was interested in literature. He especially admired Neruda and ancient greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle. His disease was one of the reasons he studied medicine. In 1953 he got his medical degree.
The same year he traveled several times to South and Central America and he viewed the financial conditions in Latin America. Being influenced by those experiences he started to show an interest in political issues and marxism. In 1954 he went to Mexico where he met Nick Lopel who was exiled from his country. In order to subsist financially  he worked as a doctor and photographer. In 1955 he met Fidel Castro, the leader of Monknista.
Guevara participated in the movement of 26th  July  to overthrow the dictatorship of  Batista in Cuba. In 1956 after the seizure of dictatorship by Castro, Guevara acquired the Cuban nationality and he became an important member of the Cuban government. On 11th December in 1964 he represented Cuba to the conference of the United Nations where he gave a great and still well known speech about nuclear disarmament.
On 15th of April in 1964 after having disagreements with Fidel Castro, Che abandoned Cuba and went to Bolivia in order to organize the guirrella army where during a battle he got injured to his right leg and as a result he got apprehended and in the end he was assassinated in 9th of October in 1967. His body was transported to Cuba where he was buried in Santa Clara the city which  he had conquered in 1958. This conquest had  led Castro to total victory.
Che Guevara is considered to be the eternal symbol of revolution, a man whose priority was neither money nor fortune, but ideals and he deserves to be first in the preferences of youth.

                      Hasta Siempre Comandante
